Shareholders in Paradigm Biopharma (ASX:PAR) were celebrating this morning as the stock breached the $1 barrier for the first time.
It was off the back of news osteoarthritis patients treated with Paradigm Biopharma’s repurposed drug are reporting significant reduction in knee pain ahead of a formal release of trial results expected before Christmas.
It pushed the shares up 15 per cent this morning to a record high of $1.10. The stock has more than tripled from around 30c in April.
Australian Mines (ASX:AUZ) is up 16 per cent to an intraday high of 5.7c this morning after it announced the quality of its scandium oxide had been verified by a partner.
Australian Mines (ASX:AUZ) said British alloy company Metalysis analysed scandium oxide from its Sconi project in Queensland.
“The oxide has met all chemical and physical requirements to be ideal for use in an aluminium-scandium feedstock to support master alloy development,” AusMines reported.
Mobile gamer iCandy Interactive (ASX:ICI) responded to an ASX speeding ticket after its shares rose 61 per cent to an intraday high of 8.4c.

GOING DOWN
Shares in New Energy Minerals (ASX:NXE) slid nearly 21 per cent to 5.8c just after market open this morning.
The company has been handed a demand from a private financier to repay a $5.1 million debt — but the vanadium and graphite explorer is disputing how much it owes.
The demand was served by Arena Structured Private Investments, which holds convertible notes worth $2.5 million — excluding interest of about $104,000.
