After a lacklustre session for US stocks, the ASX Small Ords — the benchmark for Australian small cap performance — was up 1.22 per cent to 2,685.3 around 12pm AEST, continuing its stellar run in the new year.

Thru the Roof

Israel-based eSense-Lab (ASX:ESE)  will sell up to 5 million bottles of its e-Juice (used for vaping) each year under a new multi-year North American distribution deal.

The quantum of the deal appeared to impress investors, with shares rocketing 60.7 per cent to an intra-day peak of 4.5c on Thursday.

eSense makes synthetic terpenes, fragrant oils found in plants that carry flavour and aroma.

They carry the pungent odour of cannabis and offer some medicinal properties — but they don’t contain THC, the compound that gets you stoned, or cannabidiol (CBD), another restricted element in cannabis.

And here’s a nearology play that might have actually found something;  E2 Metals’ (ASX:E2M) share price is at 10-month highs after the explorer found super high-grade surface samples at a gold and silver project in Argentina.

Rock chip sampling yielded grades of up to 7.46 grams per tonne gold and 7510 grams per tonne silver at E2’s (ASX:E2M) Veta Blanca prospect, just 20km from the mammoth Cerro Vanguardia mine owned by AngloGold Ashanti. Look:

High Purity Alumina hopeful Pure Alumina (ASX:PUA) was also up over 20 per cent to 4.1c on… no news.
