Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s facing the music today?

After seven years in Ecuador’s London embassy, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested by UK police last night at the invite of the Ecuadoreans.
The UK police said they arrested Assange for breaching his bail conditions in 2012 and then “further arrested on behalf of the United States authorities”.
But the US may have to get in line behind Sweden, which is reportedly also looking to have their pound of flesh.
Here are the key ASX small cap winners at lunch Friday, April 12:
The ASX Small Ords was up 7.8 points or 0.30 per cent to 2,788.2 at 12.02pm AEST.
Gladiator Resources (ASX:GLA) surged today, its stock up a whopping 100 per cent — but yes, only on $1000 worth of trades and to a still-low base of 0.2c.
Nonetheless, someone clearly liked the fact that it is hiring people in Australia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to get the legal and technical due diligence done on of the Mpokoto gold project. Enough to spend $1000 anyway.
Silver City Minerals (ASX:SCI) was up 38 per cent even though it delivered a big hike in the half year loss, to $1.2m, and less revenue than the corresponding period in 2017.
GBST (ASX:GBT) was up on news that Bravura Solutions wants to pay $2.50 to buy it (or a 35c dividend and 0.4095 Bravura shares). GBST hasn’t responded to the offer yet, but investors certainly think it’s a goer, pushing the stock up to $2.42.
And Canterbury Resources (ASX:CBY) says it’s found broad zones of porphyry style copper mineralisation at its PNG Ekoato prospect.
