Here’s the best and worst performing ASX small caps in morning trade, but first – want to play a game?

This US congressman has admitted to using campaign funds to buy video games and airline tickets for his pet rabbits, among other things.

And a (new) New Testament-themed first person shooter (?)  puts players in the sandals of Jesus himself.

“Pray like Him for getting superpower, perform famous miracles like Him from Bible like casting demons, healing and feeding people, resurrection and more,” the developer says.

Of course we are. On Friday, US and European share markets posted firm gains in response to strong US jobs data and “optimism on US-China trade talks”. Righto.

And while the ASX200 followed suit this morning – up 0.11 per cent to 6,714 points – the Small Ords Index fell 0.19 per cent to 2,865 points.

WINNERS

Legend Mining (ASX:LEG) went for a ~100 per cent run in morning trade after confirming reports of a nickel-copper discovery in WA’s Fraser Range.

Legend, which counts renowned prospector Mark Creasy as a major shareholder, was tipped to have made a Nova-style nickel-copper discovery after it went into a trading halt back on November 28, and then suspension on December 2.

It is early days, but Mark Wilson told Stockhead that the higher-grade mineralisation and the rock that it was in were similar to those at Nova.

Lab trials found Zoono Group’s (ASX:ZNO) ZOONO Z71 Microbe Shield was “extremely effective” in counteracting the African Swine Fever Virus. The AFS virus, which is a particularly difficult virus to inactivate, is decimating pig populations globally.

Malawi-focused explorer Sovereign Metals (ASX:SVM) enjoyed an 18 per cent bump after announcing a drilling campaign to test a number of rutile prospects.

And Australian Primary Hemp (ASX:APH) was up ~17 per cent after signing an “exclusive supply agreement”.

LOSERS

Hemp-derived CBD dietary supplement marketer Elixinol Global (ASX:EXL) spoke out on a potential class action lawsuit in the US state of California alleging its products were mislabelled as dietary supplements, a potentially misleading label claim.

The company — which was down about 18 per cent in morning trade — says it believes its products were correctly labelled and the suit’s claim was without merit and would be defended.
